Fiat Grande Panda has been named “Best Bargain” at the 2026 Top Gear Electric Vehicle Awards. Recognised for its exceptional value, characterful design and practicality, the Grande Panda stands out as one of the most accessible electric vehicles on the market.

Available as fully electric or petrol hybrid, the Grande Panda offers the flexibility to meet diverse customer needs.
The fully electric version has a 44kWh battery, 83kW e-motor (113 HP) and a 199 miles WLTP combined range, making it one of the most affordable EVs in its class without compromising everyday usability.
The hybrid option delivers 100 HP through a 1.2 litre, 3-cylinder engine and 48 volt Li-ion battery, providing smooth, efficient performance and broad appeal for drivers transitioning towards electrification.
Design has been a key factor in the Grande Panda’s recognition: its distinctive pixel‑style LED lighting, bold proportions and clever interior ergonomics -including smart storage and contemporary infotainment – all reflect FIAT’s philosophy of simple, joyful mobility.
Jack Rix, editor-in-chief of Top Gear Magazine said: “The Grande Panda isn’t the world’s cheapest EV, but it’s pretty much the UK’s cheapest supermini-sized electric five-seater. Where it really scores though is its look and its attitude – it gives people who like cars the widest possible smile.”
Kris Cholmondeley, managing director of FIAT UK, commented: “We are thrilled to see Grande Panda recognised as ‘Best Bargain EV’ by Top Gear. This award reflects exactly what the Grande Panda stands for: accessible innovation, joyful personality and an electrified range that gives more people the freedom to choose the mobility solution that suits them best.”
Pricing for the Grande Panda range is designed to maximise accessibility across the line‑up, with the hybrid version starting from £18,995 on-the-road and the fully electric Grande Panda starting from £20,995. Both powertrains are available in the full trio of trims – Pop, Icon and La Prima – ensuring customers benefit from a consistent, choice‑led structure across the range. These competitive entry points reinforce the Grande Panda’s position as one of the UK’s best‑value electrified vehicle offerings.
