Alfa Romeo Junior has reached the final stages of the coveted international Car of the Year award. Junior was road tested and evaluated by a jury of industry experts, made up of 60 automotive journalists from 23 European countries.
The shortlist reduces the title contenders from 42 to just seven cars and the judges will now subject them to further technical analysis and dynamic tests. The winner will be named Car of the Year at the Brussels Motor Show on 10th January 2025.

Sporty at heart, compact in size and Italian style at first sight, Junior also represents the new gateway to Alfa Romeo ownership. It offers the sportiest and most exciting driving dynamics in its entire class, appealing to enthusiasts of Giulietta and Mito while also attracting a new generation of Alfisti. Junior is inclusive and offers drivers the opportunity to access a distinctive and attractive car, winning over a new generation through its new design language and engaging driving experience in everyday life.
Junior combines captivating style with the most advanced technology in terms of connectivity, driving dynamics and comfort. It also remains a practical choice with its 400 litre boot, the largest in its class. Junior is available with a choice of hybrid or fully electric powertrains. The Ibrida features a 136hp 48V Hybrid VGT (Variable Geometry Turbo) powertrain and will go on sale in the UK next year. Junior Elettrica is available with a choice two power outputs – 156hp and a range of up to 255 miles and the sportier Veloce with a 280hp motor, Torsen limited slip differential and sportier suspension to make it the epitome of the Alfa Romeo sporting DNA.
