The PEUGEOT e-208 has claimed the ‘Small EV Car of the Year’ title at the 2022 Company Car & Van Awards for the third consecutive year. PEUGEOT’s Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) range was also recognised at the awards, with the Expert retaining its ‘Medium Van of the Year’ title and the e-Expert claiming the ‘Medium Electric Van of the Year’ award.
The awards were officially announced today (January 4th) and will appear in print in the February Awards edition of Company Car & Van magazine.
The multi-award-winning PEUGEOT e-208 features a 50kWh battery connected to a 100kW (136hp) electric motor. Capable of up to 225 miles from a single charge (WLTP), the e-208 also supports up to 100kW rapid charging, with a 0-80% charge taking just 30 minutes. The e-208 is just one of the array of fully electric and plug-in hybrid models that PEUGEOT offers, in line with the brand’s ambition to offer an electrified variant of every model in the range by 2024.
Andrew Walker, Editor of Company Car & Van, said: “For the third year in a row, the PEUGEOT e-208 is our Small EV Car of the Year. Why? It’s still the best looking small electric car out there, offers a 200 mile driving range, features PEUGEOT’s gorgeous i-Cockpit and is competitively priced. And we haven’t even mentioned the 1% Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) you’ll pay if you pick one. Marvellous!”
PEUGEOT’s award-winning LCV range received further accolades at the 2022 Company Car & Van Awards, with the fully electric e-Expert and the Expert being recognised as class-leaders in the medium van sector.
The new PEUGEOT e-Expert is available with either a 50kWh or a 75kWh battery, the latter providing a range of up to 205 miles from a single charge. Supporting up to 100kW rapid charging, the PEUGEOT e-Expert can be charged from 0-80% in just 30 minutes. The e-Expert comes with up to 6.6m3 of load space and a maximum payload of 1,226kg.
